M6 joins IP NETWORK portfolio

Since June this year  IP NETWORK proudly represents M6 in the international market. M6 is France‘s second commercial channel in terms of advertising revenue and in the target audience under 50.

M6’s audience is growing: M6 had an average 20% audience share in January-March 2005 against 18,6% in 2004 (against housewives under 50, the key commercial target in France).

March 1987, M6 is born and becomes the 6th French terrestrial channel. 1988, M6 settles its counter programming strategy.
For instance at the traditional 8 O’Clock news, M6 schedules a comedy show : The Cosby show.

The summer programming of M6 is full of novelties.

On the entertainment side, the event of this summer promises to be glamorous with TOP MODEL 2005 that will begin on Tuesday 5th of July.
During ten episodes, fashion professionals will have the hard task and responsibility to find the new favourite top model among 15 candidates. Those women will receive intensive training and only three of them will become top models, but only one will be the new favourite of the fashion world.

M6 positions itself as advertiser-friendly. The station wants to offer an aggressive pricing policy. M6’s selling proposition is to be more cost-effective than the average market on all relevant advertising targets like housewives under 50, adults 25-49 and adults 15-34.
