Antena 3 leads audience share figures in October

Antena 3 achieved leading audience shares in October 2004 in Spain, moving up from second place in September. It boasted an all day share of 22.2% in the 4+ Group. This tops the effort of the channel’s revamp over the past 12 month, since the Publishing group Planeta bought the station and Telefonica was replaced as the reference shareholder.

A new Media Planning Approach: the “family” target

A new standard TV target is now available in Spain for audience reporting and Media Planning: the “Family target”. This target regroups all Individuals younger than 55 who are living with 3 or more individuals, which accounts for 59% of the Spanish population (Peninsula and Baleares) whereas homes with more than 3 individuals account for 71.5% of the total Household expenditure in Spain (source : INE).

RTL maintains its leadership in the Adult 14-49 group during the new autumn season (September-November 2004), in all time slots, with an audience increase in Day time (9:00-17:00). Audience figures for Vox from September-November 2004 have grown in comparison with the same period last year. All time slots have increased and in particular the Prime time slots. (6.4% on 14-49, in September-November). RTL II also had an increase in audience shares and overtook ZDF as the 5th most viewed German channel.

“CSI Miami”, a success across Europe

“CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” is now in its fifth season and ranked as the number one Drama series in the USA. Two years ago its spin-off “CSI: Miami” was launched and immediately followed the success of its forerunner by being the top-rated new show in its first season in the USA. “CSI: Miami” is targeted primarily for the young adult groups and has also become one of the most successful primetime series on FIVE in the UK, VOX in German-speaking Europe and Yorin in the Netherlands.
